  • 1:00 pm – Golf at the Moab Golf Course / Hiking for those interested (On Your Own, no set meeting or Golf times)
  • 5:00 pm – Moab Recycling Center Tour: 1000 Sand Flats Road, Moab.
  • 6:30 pm – Dinner / Evening Social – El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant, 125 South Main St, Moab Utah.

8:15 am          – Intro to RCU Conference: Beau Peck, RCU President

8:25 am          – “Welcome to Moab: Perspectives on Utah’s Treasure City”–  The Honorable Joette Langianese, Mayor Moab

8:45 am          – “Grand County Update: What’s New in South Eastern U!” –  Grand County Representative, Administrative Control Board, Mary McGann

9:05 am          – “The Present and Future of Lithium Battery Recycling” – Gaby Olson, Director Sales & Sourcing, Redwood Materials.  Gaby will discuss the in’s and out’s of lithium battery recycling and Redwoods operations in Carson City, NV

9:35 am          – “Federal Perspective” – National Park Representative. Moab is home to not one but two national parks.  We will hear from a Nat’l Park Director on the future of parks and recycling/ sustainability in them. (Invited)

9:55 am          – Break and Networking

10:25 am        – “Sustainability the Nike Way” – Scott Vitters, Director, Sustainability Nike Corp. Scott will talk about Nike’s system and goals for sustainability, what they do and how they do it.

11:30 am        – “A Career in Waste and Recycling” – Nathan Rich, Director, Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District.

11:50 am        – “Legislative Update: What happened in 2024 for Waste & Recycling” – Rep. Bolander/ Kate Bradshaw – invited)  

12:05 am        – Concluding Keynote “Be your Best” – RCU is confirming a key note speaker who would make his return to Moab to talk about his new book and how you can be a your best version of yourself.

12:35 pm        – Lunch & Networking

1:30 pm          – Conclusion
