The Recycling Coalition of Utah’s annual conference and membership meeting will be held Thursday, June 17th at the Noah’s Facility, 322 West 11000 South in South Jordan. http://southjordan.mynoahs.com/southjordan_location.html
This year's conference will focus on utilizing social media to market, expand and educate the public about your organization and the recycling message. For instance, are you currently using Facebook, or twitter to communicate your message?
How do you know if what you are trying to brand is actually brandable? How do you get that message to stick? and just where to do you start?
If you have asked these questions or if you think you know the answers, these experts will help set you straight and get you up and running!
Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. Come early and network with other recyclers, our sponsors, local officials and many more. At 10:30 a.m. we will begin with our first panel of speakers.
For the lunch break, we will have the annual RCU membership meeting. During the annual meeting we will open the floor for any nominations for the RCU Board. To nominate someone for the RCU Board, please log-in to the RCU website and go to http://utahrecycles.org/membership/board_nomination_form.php
Nominations for the RCU Board will be accepted through June 9th.
We will present the Thomas A. Martin, Utah Recycler of the Year Awards. We will hear from each award winner and learn more about what makes their specific program or system successful.
Our Keynote Speaker will be a representative from Keep America Beautiful (KAB). KAB is the nation's largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. With a network of nearly 1,000 affiliate and participating organizations, KAB forms public-private partnerships and programs that engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community's environment.
There will be plenty of networking opportunities as well as a great lunch. We look forward to your attendance on Thursday, June 17th.

The early bird registration fee is $49 for RCU members (please log-in to get the member rate) and $69 for those not yet members of RCU and will run through June 12th. Following June 12th, registration will be $65 and $85 respectively.
